GG Jackson, now the longest-tenured Grizzly, feels that responsibility

Close to 100 children lined up and marched through the gymnasium doors Tuesday afternoon at the Bernal E. Smith Sr. Boys & Girls Club in Memphis.

As they exited, several of them shouted the same thing.

“Hey GG Jackson!” one young boy yelled in the direction of the Memphis Grizzlies wing, who was stationed a few steps away.

“GG Jackson, what’s up?” another child asked.

“Hi GG Jackson,” a girl said with a wave.

Jackson, who is 21, laughed at the fact that every Boys & Girls Club participant used his full name: first name, last name.
