Mississippi leaders name redistricting committee appointees

Mississippi’s top lawmakers have named their picks to the 16-member joint committee that will help decide the future of the state’s voting maps.
House Speaker Jason White and Lt. Gov. Delbert Hosemann separately selected a pair of lawmakers from each of the state’s four congressional districts.
State Rep. Rodney Hall, R-Southaven, will serve as DeSoto County’s sole representative across the committee.
