The Memphis Redbirds continued a six-game road trip at the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (Triple-A, Miami Marlins) with a 9-5 loss on Friday night at Vystar Ballpark in Jacksonville, Florida.
Memphis hit three home runs in the loss. Catcher Leo Bernal opened the scoring in the top of the first inning with a two-run shot, his 14th home run of the season. Center fielder Victor Scott II hit his second home run in the top of the third inning. Thomas Saggese hit his fifth home run in his last seven games with a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning.
