DeSoto County supervisor takes stand in lawsuit against the state

DeSoto County Supervisor Robert Foster took the stand Monday, Aug. 3 in the lawsuit he filed last month against the state of Mississippi.
Foster faced questions over the timing of the lawsuit, which the supervisor and three other county residents filed over the creation of a judicial subdistrict in DeSoto by the state Legislature last year. At the time, the Legislature also gave the county two additional judgeships — one Circuit Court seat and one Chancery Court seat.
