Redbirds Recap: Davis, Gorman drill homers in Memphis win at Durham
DURHAM, N.C. – The Memphis Redbirds continued a six-game road trip at the Durham Bulls (Triple-A, Tampa Bay Rays) with a 7-1 victory at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
Memphis jumped in front with a four-run top of the third inning. Left fielder Joshua Báez tied the game at one with an RBI single. Catcher Leo Bernal later added an RBI single of his own in the frame. For insurance, third baseman Nolan Gorman and right fielder Chase Davis both hit a solo home run. Gorman pushed his hot-hitting home run stretch to eight home runs in his last 13 games.
