Hernando passes budget, then un-passes it after pushback

Hernando’s Board of Aldermen passed its FY27 budget Tuesday night, Sept. 1, then un-passed it in an odd move after tensions flared over certain line items.
The up-and-down session delayed approval of the financial document — one of the most important votes of the year for officials — and put pressure on Hernando officials to get the matter handled in time.
