International Paper to invest $103 million in Iowa plant
International Paper plans to build and operate two new natural gas power boilers in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The company has known for a while that the coal burners that have created steam for the factory in Cedar Rapids would cease to operate at the end of 2025. (The Daily Memphian file)
IP’s in-house goals include a target to reduce enterprise greenhouse gas emissions by 35% by 2030.
