Buster’s owner, others file new lawsuit seeking to shut down The Station

The battle about The Station, a new high-end liquor store in East Memphis that officially began selling alcoholic beverages Feb. 17, may not be over just yet.
A coalition of stores opposed to The Station filed a new lawsuit in Chancery Court on March 7, asking that body to review and ultimately rescind the Jan. 7 decision by the Memphis Alcohol Commission to grant a certificate of compliance for the new store.
With that certificate of compliance, Station owner Ethan Edwards received his liquor license from the state Alcoholic Beverage Commission on Jan. 29, then began selling liquor, wine and beer at the store at 870 S. White Station Road about three weeks later.
