After being placed on leave in March for unspecified reasons, Ted Townsend is stepping down as president and CEO of the Greater Memphis Chamber, officials said Thursday, April 30.
Whether Townsend left of his own accord or was fired is unknown as multiple Chamber officials have steadfastly refused to discuss any details of the situation.
That refusal continued Thursday as Chamber officials did not respond to calls seeking comment.
Chamber officials released a statement announcing Townsend’s departure Thursday but provided no explanation.
