113-year-old building at U of M slated for $25 million renovation

Opened in 1912 as one of the first three buildings at what was then known as the West Tennessee State Normal School, Mynders Hall served the University of Memphis for decades as a women’s dormitory.

However, the stately building near the heart of the campus has been vacant since 2015, like many of the school’s former residence halls.
