Memphis housing market tightens in 2025

Fewer homes sold in the Memphis area in 2025 while prices increased, mirroring the national housing market.
The Memphis area saw 15,047 total home sales in 2025, a decrease of 4.1% compared to 15,697 sales in 2024, according to a year-end report by the Memphis Area Association of Realtors.
This was after a slight uptick in December, as total unit sales increased 2.5%, from 1,126 in 2024 to 1,154 in 2025.
