January winter weather cost airport $3.4 million in snow removal, de-icing

“We have a snow operations desk that was open throughout the entire week. It’s an all-hands-on-deck approach,” airport spokesman Glen Thomas said of the airport authority’s roughly 300 total employees. Many slept at the airport during the week.
