Local Jeopardy champ back for show’s Tournament of Champions
Local Jeopardy champion Laura Faddah was invited back to the show’s 2026 Tournament of Champions. (Submitted)
Laura Faddah is a bit concerned about her tax bill coming due in a few months.
That’s because Faddah won eight games on Jeopardy last year for a total of $95,599. Unfortunately for her, the folks at Jeopardy only subtract California taxes, leaving her about $88,000, so when April 15 rolls around this year, she’s going to have to do some math (or at least her accountant will).
That math may get more complicated, too, because Faddah was invited back to Jeopardy’s 2026 Tournament of Champions, where the Germantown resident is guaranteed at least one more payout.
