Excess xAI tax revenue could be earmarked for Memphis pre-K

During a Tuesday, June 24, committee meeting, Memphis City Council members will consider a change to the fiscal year 2026 budget they approved just two weeks ago.

Council member Michalyn Easter-Thomas is proposing the first amendment to the new fiscal year’s budget, which starts July 1.
