Here’s what the city’s overnight stay at Bass Pro cost taxpayers

The City of Memphis’ overnight executive retreat at Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid cost taxpayers more than $18,000, according to records obtained by The Daily Memphian. 

The Daily Memphian reported July 21 that the city paid Consilience Group, a Memphis consulting firm, $10,000 to facilitate the one-and-a-half-day retreat. On Monday, Aug. 4, the city fulfilled a Daily Memphian records request for the event’s Bass Pro receipts.
