Tic-tac-whoa: Rhodes professor to research combinatorial game theory in Slovenia

Eric Gottlieb, an associate professor of mathematics and statistics at Rhodes College, has had an unpredictable career path.
As a teenager, he worked as a commercial salmon fisherman and then spent a couple of years working as a geologist after college.
Today, he operates in a world full of predictions: the ethereal realm of advanced mathematics.
And now his academic journey is again taking him across the globe.
