US Sen. Blackburn has $9.2M for reelection bid
The specter of 85,000 new Internal Revenue Service employees hired specifically to go after taxpayers surfaced again Monday, July 16, as U.S. Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., gave her second speech of the day to the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.
“President Trump will keep his promises just like he did the first time,” Blackburn told a cheering crowd during her Monday, July 15, prime-time speech.
Also Monday, Blackburn reported $9.2 million in her reelection war chest with $3.9 million raised by her campaign along with the Blackburn Tennessee Victory Fund political-action committee in the second quarter.
