Task Force returns as issue in August primaries

Two fatal Memphis Safe Task Force shootings in four days have returned the federal presence to center stage as early voting is a week from starting in the second of three elections this year.
The specific issue, especially for candidates in the three Democratic congressional primaries on the ballot in Shelby County, is how to address a presence they have no direct power to stop.
