Years before Winter Jones died on a bus, another child died at a center owned by Raven Marshall-Lewis

On July 14, 2021, an employee at the Ivy League Learning Center in Bartlett laid 3-month-old Colt Adkins on his stomach for “tummy time,” an early childhood practice meant to help strengthen a child’s neck and back muscles.
For nearly 90 minutes, Colt lay there on his stomach, far surpassing the recommended maximum daily amount of 30 nonconsecutive minutes of tummy time for a child his age. He lay on a pink plush blanket, and a video camera captured the struggle that played out over that hour.
