Memphis wing restaurant owes Grizzlies star $365K
A local wing restaurant owes Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant more than $365,000, according to court documents.
An independent arbitrator ruled in July 2024 that the restaurant owes Morant money for breaching a deal it had with the basketball star, according to the documents obtained by The Daily Memphian and first reported by The Commercial Appeal.
Attorneys for Morant are now asking a Shelby County Chancellor to affirm that ruling, and a second one in August, and to require the restaurant to pay a total of $365,525.50, including legal fees.
