How are ya, Memphis? It’s Tuesday, Oct. 15, and it’s chilly outside. That means flu season is right around the corner, but the Shelby County Health Department has you covered with free flu shots today at three different sites.

The Memphis City Council will meet nine new Memphis Area Transit Authority board members today, after Mayor Paul Young dismissed the former MATA board on Friday. And tonight, you can get a first look at the new Memphis Tigers basketball men’s and women’s teams as they play North Carolina and South Carolina, respectively, in the Hoops for St. Jude Tip Off Classic at FedExForum.

Early voting starts Wednesday and runs through Halloween in the election cycle topped by the U.S. presidential election. And you’ll want to set aside some time since there are several wordy referendums on the ballot; the gun-control questions alone could take “between 14 and 19 minutes” if voters read the full text. But the election commission has a plan to shave time off at the ballot box. Much has been made about those gun-control questions, but there are three other referendums on the ballot that could reshape Memphis politics. We’ve got a look at those here

Zach Edey and Desmond Bane scored 23 points each in Monday’s preseason 120-116 win over the Indiana Pacers. Edey was playing just 60 miles down the road from his alma mater at Purdue, and Bane grew up an hour away in Richmond, Indiana. So, both guys had plenty of hometown fans to impress. And impress Edey did: The rookie had his best preseason game yet, in just 19 minutes on the court. Fans also got to see the league’s shortest player, Yuki Kawamura, show off his passing style.
