FORT WORTH, Texas — They stood in surprise and jubilation. Then they pulled out their phones to snap photos of the giant screen.
Yes, the screen. They were taking photos of a screen.
On that screen was the 2025 NCAA Tournament bracket.
The Memphis Tigers name had just popped up.
Next to the number five.

Memphis’ Tyrese Hunter officially ruled out
Hunter exited the Tigers’ AAC Tournament semifinal game Saturday early in the second half with a left foot injury and was examined by the team’s medical staff in the locker room.
