Opinion: Beware of deceptive business opportunities

The FTC settled enforcement actions in January against two companies that took millions of dollars from consumers hoping to start their own business.
They aren’t the first cases of deceptive business opportunities and likely won’t be the last.
Growth Cave was the umbrella organization for several programs, including Knowledge Business Accelerator. It was promoted through YouTube ads as a “digital education program” that would allow aspiring entrepreneurs to make $20,000 to $50,000 in passive income.
