Redbirds recap: Memphis opens home season with a victory over Norfolk

The Memphis offensive carried the team to a 10-5 victory over the Norfolk Tides (Triple-A, Baltimore Orioles) on Tuesday night at AutoZone Park in the home opener for the Redbirds.
Memphis (4-0) opened the scoring with three consecutive two-out doubles in the second inning to jump out to a 3-0 lead. After Norfolk tied the game in the top of the third, third baseman Blaze Jordan blasted his first homer of the season to grab the lead back.
