Redbirds Recap: Memphis drops first game of series with Jacksonville

The Memphis Redbirds started a six-game homestand with a 6-5 extra-inning loss to the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (Triple-A, Miami Marlins) on Tuesday night at AutoZone Park. 

Memphis came back from a five-run deficit to force extra innings in the loss. Center fielder Victor Scott II went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and tied the game with a two-out triple in the bottom of the eighth inning. Left fielder Colton Ledbetter smacked his 10th home run of the season, a solo shot in the three-run eighth inning. The Redbirds went 1-for-17 with runners in scoring position.
