The running joke among the media at Ensworth High School for Memphis Grizzlies training camp this week was that it felt like everyone was a student again.
We all tried to follow the rules.
You wait for the doors to open, line up single file, and then walk to the gym in silence as to not disturb the students in classrooms nearby.
And then when you get there, you realize your efforts to be quiet don’t matter, because the Grizzlies — they are a particularly rowdy bunch.
Even behind closed doors to the gym, the sound echoed through the halls on Thursday as if a Motley Crue concert were happening just on the other side.
