A refresher: As Grizz start group play, here’s how NBA Cup works

The Memphis Grizzlies’ showdown with the Golden State Warriors on ESPN has a little extra juice on Friday night. 

Finally, Memphis is slated to play its first Emirates NBA Cup game. 

If you have no idea what that means, don’t worry, you’re probably not alone. 

The league launched the in-season tournament last season, with the Lakers taking home the championship. As the second go-around is about to take place, here’s a refresher on how it works.
