Women of the Grizzlies: How Memphis tries to inspire girls

When Seattle Storm guard Jordan Horston landed in Memphis for her first-ever trip to the city this week, she didn’t need to search for where to go. 

Horston, who is from Ohio but starred at the University of Tennessee from 2019 to 2023, had a list of places she needed to visit waiting in her phone.

Among them was Cozy Corner Restaurant and the National Civil Rights Museum; the list’s sender was someone she knew she could trust. In fact, her tour guide from afar said if she wasn’t so busy, she would have tagged along.
