Tigers beat writer Parth Upadhyaya’s latest AP Top 25 ballot
Though Memphis just added one number to its “W” column this past week, the Tigers won in more than one way.
It was impressive enough that coach Penny Hardaway’s team knocked off Associated Press Top 25 Clemson 87-82 on the road in overtime on Saturday to bounce back from its home loss to Arkansas State on Dec. 8.
But Memphis’ place among some of college basketball’s best teams was also validated by what its previous opponents accomplished.
