Memphis State opened the 1985 NCAA Tournament with a win against Penn then made it past UAB and Boston College behind Andre Turner’s back-to-back game-winning jumpers.
Oklahoma awaited in the Midwest Regional championship game at Reunion Arena in Dallas.
