Memphis’ Hunter not playing in NCAA 1st-round game vs. Colorado State

Memphis’ Tyrese Hunter will not be available in the team’s NCAA Tournament first-round matchup Friday (1 p.m. CT, TBS) against Colorado State in Seattle.
Hunter, a 6-foot point guard who suffered a left-foot injury in the Tigers’ AAC Tournament semifinal win against Tulane on March 15, told reporters Thursday inside a locker room at Climate Pledge Arena his status when the No. 5 seed Tigers (29-5) play the Rams (25-9) is no longer uncertain — he will remain sidelined.
“I can honestly say I’m not playing tomorrow,” Hunter said.
