Memphis season slips away in NCAA Tournament loss to Colorado State

SEATTLE — A special season for the Memphis Tigers has come to a disappointing conclusion.
Coach Penny Hardaway’s team went to Seattle to open the NCAA Tournament with plenty of confidence despite being without starting point guard Tyrese Hunter and backup point guard Dante Harris.
A resilient Memphis team was determined to make noise this March after missing the Big Dance a season ago and never having advanced past the Round of 32 under Hardaway.
