Memphis AD Ed Scott responds to tweet about Tigers and the Pac-12

It’s been more than eight months since the University of Memphis publicly announced in late September that it would remain in the American Athletic Conference instead of jumping to the new-look Pac-12.
Memphis athletic director Ed Scott even held a press conference days later, confirming that the Tigers did indeed consider an offer from the Pac-12 but ultimately decided to stay put in the AAC because of what he deemed to be less-than-ideal financial terms associated with the deal, uncertainty surrounding the Pac-12’s non-existent media rights deal and other factors.
