Made for Memphis: James Wiseman is the student and the teacher
University of Memphis center James Wiseman joked with fans after an open practice last week at Laurie-Walton Family Basketball Center. "When you actually spend time with him, he just a kind, gentle soul," said Wiseman's former teacher Andy Kelley. "Then you add on top of that, he’s very smart and interested in stuff like Chinese. That combination is what I think makes James so special.” (Mark Weber/Daily Memphian)
James Wiseman's high school Chinese-language teacher said the 7-footer is more than just a star athlete.
