“I don’t think at any point he thought he was going in,” said Memphis Tigers coach Ryan Silverfield, referencing backup quarterback Arrington Maiden.
With 67 seconds left in the Tigers’ 32-31 win against SEC foe Arkansas last Saturday and Memphis clinging to its one-point lead, redshirt freshman quarterback Arrington Maiden stepped onto the field.
The Tigers faced third-and-8.
