BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The No.22 Memphis Tigers did not have their best showing at UAB on Saturday.

The Tigers entered the game with a top 10 rushing offense, averaging 238.7 per game. And the defense tied Indiana University with the seventh-best defensive stop-rate, according to ESPN.

UAB held Memphis to a season-low 119 rushing yards, despite having the fifth-worst rushing defense in the nation. It also converted nine of 13 third-down attempts, while backup quarterback Ryder Burton threw for 251 yards and three touchdowns in his first career start. Starter Jalen Kitna was ruled out before the game.
