Back-from-injury Lewis rallies Memphis against ranked USF

Brendon Lewis’ status was up in the air all week.

But the sixth-year signal-caller knew he wouldn’t miss Memphis’ game Saturday against No. 18 South Florida.

Lewis suffered an ankle injury last Saturday in Memphis’ loss to UAB and was listed as questionable in the American Conference’s pregame injury report.

“I knew the whole time that I was going to play,” Lewis said. “I just had to get myself right.”
