“Obtaining a job in which I can use my gifts and talents to raise money to support teachers and students is a dream come true to me,” she said in a release. “I’m really excited about this next step for the foundation and I can’t wait to see where we can go.”
Rudisill served in various local organizations including the Germantown Charity Horse Show, Germantown Education Commission and West Tennessee Association for the Gifted. The former education board candidate is currently an education consultant.
The foundation used a search committee before naming Rudisill.
“We found that Robyn brings passion, determination and commitment; not to mention a strategy for growth to the table,” search committee chairman Jason Gillum said, according to a release. “Robyn shares the vision we have as a Board to really grow our foundation.”
Germantown Education Foundation is a non-profit dedicated to supporting GMSD’s six schools.
