Shelby County Health department identifies 35 new cases
Shelby County Health Department is reporting 35 new cases of coronavirus for a total of 1,766.
The department did not release new deaths, and the number remains at 37.
The county announced Lakeside Behavioral Health has three staff members who have tested positive.
A total of 18,212 people have been tested in Shelby County.
Shelby County is reporting the highest number of cases in Tennessee. Sunday morning Davidson County had 1,751 confirmed COVID-19 cases, according to Nashville Mayor John Cooper’s Twitter post.

The most cases in Shelby remains among individuals 21 to 30 – 326 people in the range have tested positive. It accounts for 18.7% of Shelby County’s positive cases.
Saturday, the Shelby County Health Department reported 69.1% of the cases affect African Americans.
In a week, the county has had an increase of 550 cases.
Tennessee Department of Health updates its numbers at 2 p.m. daily. Saturday it reported 6,762 cases and 145 deaths.
