Pink Palace and Lichterman Nature Center to reopen
The Pink Palace Museum and Lichterman Nature Center will reopen, to members only, June 2-7. Both will reopen to the public on June 9.
“We want to have a soft opening of sorts for our members as a way to show our appreciation,” said Bill Walsh, Pink Palace’s marketing manager, in a statement.
Employees will be required to wear masks and be subject to signature screenings. Guests will be “highly encouraged” to wear masks and required to undergo temperature screenings when entering. Guests will also be asked screening questions.
All public areas will be sanitized three times daily and hand sanitizer will be available at ticket counters, bathrooms and other locations. There is also signage to alert guests of physical distancing.
Both entities will be operating at reduced capacities and special hours.
For the members only reopening June 2-7, the Pink Palace will be open 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. It will be closed Monday.
Beginning June 9, the Pink Palace will be open to members only 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, to members and the general public 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and to members and the general public noon to 5 p.m.
From June 2 onward, the Lichterman Nature Center will be open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday. It will be closed on Sundays.
Pink Palace’s theater and planetarium, as well as the Mallory-Neely House and Magevney will remain closed.
