Fat Larry’s owner dies unexpectedly
Larry Mayes, owner of Fat Larry’s in Bartlett died unexpectedly, the restaurant announced Sunday. Mayes owned the barbecue joint on U.S. 70 near Appling Road. (Fat Larry’s BBQ)
Larry Mayes, owner of the restaurant on U.S. 70 near Appling Road, was a winner of the Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest.
