Eggs Up Grill offers a ‘second-chance’ — and a fresh breakfast
Egg-related art decorates the walls at Eggs Up Grill in Germantown. Owner Jason Heckendorf said that in just two weeks, the breakfast-and-brunch spot has cracked nearly 13,000 eggs by hand. “Each order is made to order — it’s not canned goods,” he said. “We’re cracking eggs and adding fresh ingredients.” (Brad Vest/Special to The Daily Memphian)
The Germantown restaurant prides itself on serving fresh food, but it’s also a place for clean starts. The owners say they want to offer employees “an opportunity in life.”
