Germantown considers regulating signs for temporary parking

Germantown’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen have long discussed rules for temporary-parking spaces and signage, but on Monday, the Memphis suburb’s leaders are scheduled to consider official guidelines.
The board held two of three required readings of a different version of the ordinance, but significant concerns from commercial-property owners and managers caused the Design Review Commission to review the ordinance.
City staff met with property managers to help them understand the changes. The Board of Mayor and Aldermen have taken two more reviews of the changed ordinance, and the final review is scheduled for Monday night.
