Frankie Dakin’s new position as Millington city manager is not just a homecoming, but also an opportunity to use his passion for his hometown and cast a vision for the city.
At age 20, Frankie Dakin became a Millington alderman in 2012. Now he takes the reins as Millington city manager, after working for Shelby County government.
Dakin, most recently county Mayor Lee Harris’ deputy chief of staff, officially assumed the city manager’s role last Thursday. He succeeds Ed Haley, who is retiring at age 84.
