East Memphis shop to become hub for yarn enthusiasts

By , Special to The Daily Memphian Published: September 08, 2024 4:00 AM CT

A new craft boutique is opening in East Memphis to cater to stitching enthusiasts.

Stitching Supply, located at 3092 Poplar Ave., aims to help build the local crafting community by providing a hub for artists to purchase supplies, meet one another and hone their crafts.

Owner Erica Carpenter said Memphis once had a handful of yarn and fiber shops, but they all closed several years ago, leaving the fiber artists community without a central location for working on their crafts.
