Chipotle Mexican Grill cleared a hurdle for its new Germantown restaurant Monday by securing warrants from the suburb’s Board of Mayor and Alderman.
Chipotle is planning to build a new building on West Street at the site of the former Back Yard Burgers, which closed more than a year ago.
This will be the third restaurant on the site. The burger restaurant was originally built as a Pizza Hut in 1986. Back Yard Burgers moved in in 1994 and operated there until it closed last year.
