Grizzlies season outlook: Can staff changes get Memphis over the hump?

Jaren Jackson Jr. is excited for everyone to see the new strategy installed by an overhauled coaching staff this season. 

He hinted that some changes have already begun to take hold. 

But that’s about as far as the Memphis Grizzlies star was willing to go. 

“I have a great idea of what it looks like,” Jackson said Tuesday at a rally aimed to get Memphians registered to vote. “But I’m definitely not telling you.”

Secrets, secrets are no fun. 

Still, the big man has been impressed with the new members added to the staff this offseason by head coach Taylor Jenkins. He was quick to share some praise. 

“I’m sure you’ll end up talking to a lot of them over the course of the year,” he said. “They are all very smart. They are on point with Taylor, and they’re already introducing our playing style. We have a new way of playing. It’s going to be nice.”

What, exactly, was Jenkins looking for when he restructured his assistants? What kind of impact could it have on the court this season?
