Herrington: Aldama’s future, Clarke’s return are key early Grizzlies questions

NASHVILLE — Santi Aldama, a fourth-year backup forward, might be an odd first man up in this annual series previewing the Grizzlies roster.
But unlike with any of his teammates, there’s a ticking clock for Aldama.
The Grizzlies have until Oct. 21 to negotiate a contract extension or put Aldama on a path to restricted free agency next summer.
