Bailey: Timing of Chatham’s resignation puts voters on two-year wait

Clay Bailey, a lifelong Memphian, has worked as a reporter in the city four decades. He now is suburban editor and also serves as a freelance sports writer for The Associated Press.
Daniel Chatham announced this week that he will step down from the Germantown school board at the end of the year, raising questions about the timing of the decision.
