On Friday, Nov. 29, Gordon was honored with a brass note on the Beale Street Walk of Fame. The ceremony was held at 3 p.m. at A. Schwab’s at 163 Beale St., the subject of Gordon’s first published piece back in 1985 in Memphis magazine.
Gordon has written six books and numerous articles and liner notes, and produced or directed eight films. The Central Gardens resident has won three Grammys and an Emmy.
